Kody Penner is the Vice-Chair of the Tahltan Nation Development Corporation (TNDC) as well as the chair of the finance, audit and risk committee and a member of the executive committee. He has been on the board of TNDC for two years as the company went through major managerial and structural changes. Currently, in his final year of the Bachelor of Commerce program at the University of British Columbia where he specializes in finance, he looks to continue his career in the metals and mining capital markets upon graduation. Prior to attending UBC, he worked as the Employment Director for the Tahltan Central Government and as an underground miner at Newcrest’s Brucejack Mine. Kody brings a diverse perspective to Indigenous business and economic growth as he sees both the financial and Indigenous sides of responsible development.
